I enjoy the challenge of using natural light when photographing pets and their people, wildlife and nature. I'm especially interested in educating the public and I have plans to publish a coffee table book on captive chimpanzees. I became passionate about chimps when I had the opportunity to get to know them at the Los Angeles zoo. I provided enrichment activities for them but, in truth, they provided enrichment to my life. My 10 years with them was so gratifying that I would like to thank them with this tribute. One of my photographs of Pandora with her grandson won a First Place Award in the Los Angeles Zoo Photo Contest. Jane Goodall predicts that chimpanzees will be extinct in 20 years. This is unthinkable. Her efforts will hopefully save their lives. One of my life goals is to participate in their struggle to survive.
